The Curieuse Island National Park is at a short distance by boat. The beach and Restaurants of Côte d'Or are a few minutes away by car. Driving to the world famous Anse Lazio beach takes less than 15 minutes.




Curieuse National Park
A sanctuary for flora and fauna, Curieuse Marine National Park brings you as close to nature as anyone could wish. On this relatively small island there is an intriguing and unique biodiversity. Curieuse is home to a significant collection of Seychelles' endemic species, from Giant Tortoises introduced from Aldabra and endemic birds, to the world’s biggest nut, the legendary Coco de Mer. The island is the only other place, apart from Praslin, where the Coco de Mer Palm grows naturally.
Visitors to this paradise are offered an array of outdoor experiences. One can follow the nature trails, which includes Baie Laraie to Anse Jose, the Anse Badamier Trail and other seasonal trail or visits. Additionally, visitors can undertake bird watching of both land birds and sea birds, barbeques, snorkeling and diving. Visitors who follow the marked trail around the island soon discover the full extent of its natural treasures.
One of the most interesting areas of the island is the mangrove swamp bordering Baie Laraie. Here, six of the seven species of mangroves known to Seychelles are found. A boardwalk built on piling goes through the swamp, allowing visitors to access the mangrove habitat even at high tide.
The Island is regularly visited by nesting sea turtles, which return each year to lay their eggs on the beaches.

Anse Lazio
Anse Lazio, on the northwest of the island, is what can be called a picture-perfect Beach with beautiful granite formation a beautiful coconut and forest background. It is often mentioned as one of the world's most beautiful beaches. The emerald waters, with or without great waves depending on the season, is best visited starting from early morning. There's good snorkelling among the rocks along the arms of the bay and there's a beachside restaurant.
